Highly Qualified Workforce
The education level of the argentinian professionals is similar to those of developed countries and it is well above the average of Latin America.
Argentina ranks fourth in univerisity enrollment behind the United States, Spain and Italy.
More than 85.000 undergraduates and 6.100 graduates from 107 universities from all over the country join the workforce annualy.
The country ha a great amount of professional specialized in technology and informatics, with socionecomic and cultural levels similar to industrialized countries. The educational systems offers 243 technology degrees of which 117 are technical or undergraduate, and 126 are related to engineering.
About 70.000 students are enrolled in informatic carreers and the number grows 5% since 1990.
The official language in Argentina is Spanish, however English is the most common second language and the students are amongst the highest levels in the Latinamerican ranking.
Several programs promote interest in the information technology careers. The objective is to keep up with the growing demand of highly qualified professionals in the field.
